For your consideration is this Hardin spear point dated from 10,000 - 7,500 B.P. and shown from the Early Archaic period. This is a medium triangular point with an expanding stem and rhomboid blade that is long and slender and slightly excurvate. The point shows distinct 'V' shape angles to its notches with semi circular shoulders with barbed shoulders and the stem is slightly expanding. The material the point is knapped from is a red flint with interesting swirls from compressed materials forming a dark red semi circle. The condition of this point is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows a wonderful museum quality condition. The measurements of this Hardin spear point are 4" x 1 1/4".
