The lot features an excellent, early pre-historic Caddo Indian figural pottery vessel, circa 800 A.D. It is from the ex-collection of Floyd Ritter of Illinois and has Ritter’s collection number, 731, painted in white on the bottom of the pot. Ritter is the founder of the Collinsville Indian Art & Ethnographic Show and is a long-respected member of the Pre-Historic artifact collecting community. The pot is in excellent condition for its very early age, with expected wear and original patina. The piece measures 7 inches tall by 5 inches wide by 6 inches deep.
