The lot features an early American hand carved decoy of a canvas back duck. The carving was done in the circa 1950's and shows wonderful craftsmanship and original paint. The keel is weighted with an original lead stamped weight marked, "JSB (J.S.B.)". The piece also shows what appears to be an original leather pull which is used to attach the decoy to rigging. The duck shows some loss to the paint, which is indicative of its early age. Measures overall 14" x 8" x 6".
