Provided for auction in this lot is a Crow Native American Indian tobacco bag, originating from the 3rd or 4th quarter of the 1800's. The bag is constructed of scalloped tanned hide, and features one fully beaded side, and a beaded star on the reverse. The fully beaded side features semi-translucent green, corn yellow, Hudson Bay red white heart, chalk white, robin egg blue, and purple trade seed beads, and are composed to resemble a traditional cross. The reverse side simply uses Hudson Bay red white hearts. The bag shows good condition overall, with no apparent bead loss. The bag measures approximately 4 7/8" x 3 1/2".
