This item is a set of saddle bags believed to pair with the McClellan M1904 saddle. These saddle bags are independent of connecting strap and absent of makers marks, but were typically designed by career Army officer - George B. McClellan, and manufactured by Sears. The only markings on the bags are labeled "US" on both outers. These russet saddle bags feature brass hardware, as well as one has an inner liner, these liners are often times absent from the bags. One bag is missing its strap, the other has its strap but is only attached on one side. The bags are in good condition overall showing some wear due to use and age. The saddle bags measure 12" wide by 13" tall by 3 1/2" deep at its widest.
