This is an early Navajo sterling silver and 10K gold Ranger Buckle Set, circa 1920's. The Ranger buckles are named after the Texas Rangers, who wore the buckles so they could carry a 5-pound Colt six shooter without their pants coming down. The buckles are set on tooled brown leather. The pieces included are a buckle, keeper, and belt tip--each with a small gold plate. The actual buckle measures 2" x 1" and the set is in good condition.
