Featured in this lot is this early Navajo, hand spun stepped Chinle wool rug, c. 1890-1910. The wool rug shows a wonderfully decorated stepped triangle Chinle design; the decoration shows stepped triangles with coloration of light brown, red, and brown with a lighter cream field. The condition of this rug is fair, with wear consistent with its age; this is a very old rug and shows slight wear to the corners of the rug. The measurements of this rug are 59 1/2" x 43".
