The lot features an early Northern Pacific Railroad Brakeman Cap collected in Northwest Montana. Northern Pacific Railroad, also referred to as Northern Pacific Railway or NPR, NP. The cap shows the original metal NP Brakeman badge along the front with ying and yang black and red NP logo above all caps BRAKEMAN rectangular plate. The hat also shows two nickel silver like NP original buttons on either side. The hat was made by The Pettibone company in Cincinnati as is marked on the inside of the leather band. The hat also shows a tag that reads the size of 6 7/8. The hat was likely from a Montana Depot and is in well preserved condition. The cap's circumference is 21"
