Included in this lot is a pair of framed Montana company stock certificates originating from 1800 and 1918. The first stock is a framed, unused Helena Electric Railway Company stock certificate from 1800. The second is a Butte Tombstone Company capital stock certificate of shares. The first certificate reads, "This is to certify that (insert name) is entitled to (insert number) shares of one hundred dollars each of the Capital Stock of the Helena Electric Railway Company transferable only on the Books of the Company in person by Attorney or by legal representation on the surrender of this Certificate. Witness the seal of the Helena Electric Railway Company, and signatures of the President and Secretary thereof at Helena, Montana.". The second piece states that, "Chas E. Mooney is the owner of eighteen shares of the Capital Stock of Butte Tombstone Company", on March 1st, 1918. The certificates measure 11 1/2" X 7 1/2" and the frame measures 15 1/2" X 12 1/4".
