Featured in this lot is this early, original photo of Casper, Wyoming taken in the late 1880's. This early photo is attributed to Frances Seely Webb, a prominent photographer in and around Casper, Wyoming at the time. This photo shows a semi birds eye view of the just started town of Casper, Wyoming. It was taken from a small hill with the North Platte River just out of view to the left. Various houses, fenced lands and sheds can be seen scattered throughout the early town and dirt roads. No photographer mark is noted. The back is marked in pencil reading, "Casper Wyo.". It shows good condition overall with slight wear present from its age and use over the years, but no major signs of damage is noted. The visible photo measures 7 3/4" L x 9 3/4" W, while the entire piece measures 10 3/8" L x 12 1/4" W and weighs under 6 ounces.
