Up for bid is an antique Larry F. Nonnast game table circa 1905. Louis Frederick Nonnast immigrated to Chicago from Germany in 1865, when he was 17 years old. By 1878, he was making tables and hall stands in a Chicago factory that he shared with several other cabinetmakers. He had his own factory by 1889, and by the turn of the century, the factory employed 150 people. Nonnast produced tables of all kinds, from library tables to dining-room extension tables. The company became Louis F. Nonnast & Sons in 1914. This art nouveau style table, model 689, is beautiful oak finished in a honey colored stain. The top of the table is square with scalloped aprons. It has beaded legs with arched scalloped arms to hold a circular lower shelf. Printed on the bottom of the top piece is the maker "Larry F. Nonnast-689-Chicago, ILL". It measures 24" x 24 ' x 29.5"H.
