Included in this lot is an early U.S. Colt Army Model 1909 .45 Long Colt revolver dating to 1911. This firearm utilizes a 5 ½” round barrel chambered in .45 Long Colt. The revolver shows the correct two line address on top of the barrel reading “Colts PT F.A. MFG CO. Hartford CT. U.S.A. Pat’d Aug.5.1884. June 5.1900. July 4.1905”. The left side of the barrel reads “Colt D.A. 45”. The frame of the revolver shows a patina’d gray finish which allows the Colt Rampant Pony logo to stand out near the grips. The firearm is fit with original Colt factory walnut grips with “R.A.C.” hallmark. The underside of the barrel is marked “United States Property” and “R.A.C.”. Manufacture date of 1911.
