The lot features two early vintage Navajo silver jewelry pieces including a belt buckle signed by Navajo artist John La Ron Bedoni Sr. from circa 1960's and a Navajo watch cuff from circa 1950-1960's. The buckle shows the four corners of Utah, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico set with Morenci Turquoise, Black Onyx, Ox Blood Red Branch Coral and Mother of Pearl. The front is stamped with the state names and has a classic 1960-1970 silver work and shows the state shapes. The back is stamped with a unique "JB", with the J having a line atop and the B looking like an "8", a signature documented as being used by John La Ron Bedoni Sr., typically his signatures show JB SR, but there are several examples showing just the stylized JB such as this example. The watch cuff shows an early pattern inlaid with a mosaic stained glass pattern of Turquoise from the Carico Lake Turquoise Mine. The Watch is a Waltham Swiss Made Shock Protected example with silver like case and indices that have the appearance of baguette cut diamond like stones. The condition of this buckle and watch band is well preserved with a slight patina adorning the silver consistent with age but otherwise shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this buckle is 2" x 3" and the watch has an adjustable band with the overall measurements of 1 7/8" x 2 1/8" x 7/8". The collective weight of this collection is 159.1g.
