Featured in this lot is this large room-sized, beautifully hand woven Persian Shikli Kazak, three medallion wool area rug with early vintage age The rug displays a beautiful geometric design throughout showing bright colors and a tight weave. It shows three large medallions in the center, each with a slightly different color scheme and smaller designs within in the medallions. It shows vivid colors of red, blue, light blue, beige and teal throughout the designs. The rug features a five band border with the third band being wider than the rest, showing larger, more intricate geometric designs. Shikli Kazak rugs are made in the Shikli region of the Caucasus and are distinguished by its elongated central medallion, which incorporates geometric designs and stylised floral themes. Shikli Kazak carpets frequently have deep reds, blues, and greens, as well as ivory and yellow accent colors. These carpets' borders include elaborate, repeating patterns that bring harmony and balance to the entire design. The rug shows good condition overall with little wear present and no signs of obvious damage or wear noted. It measures 220" L x 159" W.
