In this lot is a collection of five Easton Press leather bound classic books. The first of these books is "Bel-Ami"(Dear Friend) written by Guy De Maupassant and illustrated by Bernard Lamotte. This book is bound in red with gold emboss printing on the cover. The next book is "The Mysterious Island" by Jules Vern, with an introduction by Ray Bradbury. This book is bound in blue with a gold embossed sketch of an island at sea on the front. The next book is "Ethan Frome" by Edith Wharton. This book is bound in red with gold embossing on the cover. The next book is "Madame Bovary" written by Gustave Flaubert. This book is bound in blue with gold embossed flowers on the cover. The last book is "The Education of Henry Adams: An Autobiography" illustrated by Samuel Chamberlain. Each of these books comes with taffeta covered flyleaf pages, a satin book mark ribbon, and gold top edge gilt. The largest book measures 10 3/4" X 8” and the smallest is 10 1/4" X 6 3/4"; they range from 1" to 1 1/2" deep. These books have slight moisture damage.
