The second shows two pipes coming out of the ground in the center of the scene with a mountainous region around the pipes. The third is a scene of an opened pipe coming from a mining shafted used to sift through sediment ridden water for gold. The fourth is a landscape scene with a flat piece of foundation with rubble surrounding the painting. The last is a sorry scene of waste that includes cables and a broken down miner cart in the center of the painting. This collection was acquired in 2008. Eben Goff is a painter that often comes to Butte, Montana and is showcased in galleries around LA. Eben Goff explores material and mineral forms, natural processes, and minimalist language in a multidisciplinary practice that integrates painting, sculpture, drawing, and assemblage. Concered with materiality, Goff often employs juxtapositions of the natural and the manmade, such of engraved wax, metal, carved wood, concrete, and found detritus. He uses these mixed-media objects to create material events in which he confronts the traditions of landscape painting and sculpture - derived from the observation of nature - by subjecting them to a series of operations. The condition of this collection of original paintings is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of each of these framed painting is 25 3/4" x 33 7/8" x 1 1/4" and the visible art measures 23" x 30 1/4".
