This is an exceptional and scarce original Eddie (Edward) Beyuka (1920-2002) and Johnathan Beyuka Zuni Kachina bolo tie with large size. Original authentic vintage pieces from Eddie and Johnathan are increasingly scarce with examples of this size and quality selling for as high as several thousand dollars. This piece was finished by his son Jonathan Beyuka after his father’s death and is signed J. Beyuka. The piece has a large size with multi-stone inlay, and is so large it has an incorporated stand, all done in sterling silver work. This is one of Beyuka’s largest and finest Kachina bolo tie with immense detail and nice weight. The piece shows a Kachina / Katsina dancer showing a Warrior Chief in feathered headdress and dance regalia with the human figure holding a drum beater and below that a separate piece, a micro-inlaid dance drum tie tack. The tie tack has a pin back with tie tack back. The kachina bolo has a custom sterling silver stand with inlaid design, great for putting the item on display on a shelf or such. The bottom has wonderful tips with dangle inlaid ends. The bolo tie has a braided black leather large strand necklace. The dancer shows stones of Mother of Pearl, Turquoise, Coral, Labradorite, onyx, and at the feather along with head a stone similar to tortoise shell (not tortoise), possibly a horn. The large kachina bolo has a removable sterling and inlaid stand allowing the user to set the piece up on display. The bolo is on a thick large black leather strand and along with two tips with hoops and turquoise, mother of pearl and onyx in sterling silver. The bolo by itself measures 5.75"H by 3.25"W. The entire bolo measures 23.5" from the back of the neck to the end of the tips. Total weight is 105.5 grams.
