Included for sale in this lot is a custom genuine leather office bin by the renowned Edward H. Bohlin, out of Hollywood, California. Edward Bohlin and his carefully selected team of leather, and silversmiths, were known to craft the world’s finest saddles, and leather tack. Ed was born in Sweden in 1895 and ran away towards America at the young age of 15. Ed had dreams of Buffalo Bill Cody's Wild West in his head, and when he arrived state side, got a job working cattle drives in Montana, later to open his first saddle shop in Cody, Wyoming. Ed would often stand in front of his shop, performing rope tricks to entice cliental. Bohlin met a man named Tom Mix, while performing at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood - Mix convinced Ed to stay in Hollywood to produce his fine saddles, eventually to serve patrons such as Mae West, Hopalong Cassidy, Monte Hale, Lyndon Johnson, and Ronald Reagan. Under Ed's watchful eye, "The Edward H. Bohlin Company" operated from the early 1920's, through the 1980's, now operating under different ownership. The sofa is made by Edward H. Bohlin saddlery and silversmith company, known for their leather work and silver belt buckles. The bin is made by Edward H. Bohlin - Saddle Makers silversmiths - Hollywood, California - since 1920" and also shows a Texas longhorn. The bin is on good condition overall with some of the inner lining coming off at the bottom. The piece measures 12" wide by 8 1/4" long by 12" tall. Provenance: From the Ladder Ranch & Diamond Bar 7 Brand located just East of Big Timber, Montana near the Montana Crazy Mountains.
