Included in this lot are El Paso Saddleblanket Company Western-Themed Pillow Covers, Placemats, and Saddle Blanket, circa 1970s to 1990s. Two pillow covers display the iconic historic Sharp's Buffalo Gun, Model 1874, U. S. Army Springfield Carbine M1873, and 1894 Winchester 30-30 rifles and the Wells Fargo Coach Gun, 12 ga. shotgun. Another pillow cover displays a Mexican party scene with two dancing figures on the left, two mariachi instrumentalists on the right, a piñata, banderas above, and a large sombrero centred. Two placemats feature a pair of cowboy boots flanked by two horseshoes; two placemats feature figures on hoseback hunting buffalo; one placemat features Southwestern geometric designs with a stylized turtle in the center and the last placemat displays a Southwest desert towers scene with a Native American figure and a pottery bowl in the centre, pottery bowls in each corner, and geometric designs along the border. The saddle blanket features a Puebloan storyteller figure surrounded by young children. All the pieces feature colours consistent with Navajo and Puebloan art. The El Paso Saddleblanket Company, established in 1970 by Dusty Henson, is a legendary supplier of authentic, heavy-woven Southwestern textiles, camp blankets, and saddle blankets. Their pieces are famous for their tight weave, vibrant geometric patterns, and exceptional durability. Vintage wool and acrylic-blend blankets function beautifully as rustic throw rugs, wall hangings, or vehicle seat covers. The pieces are in very nice condition, colours are vibrant.
