This is an outstanding handmade work of art by Carolyn Chiappetta M.F.A. a Montana and Iowa master silversmith featuring a shadowbox sterling silver and 10 karat gold constructed necklace set with Brazilian Amethyst and a custom clasp set with Watermelon Tourmaline all in the shape of a woman angelically embracing the neck of the wearer. The necklace features a emerald cut bi color watermelon tourmaline gemstone with measurements of 5.61mm x 4.03mm x 2.82mm and features yellow and purple bi-color watermelon tourmaline and set in a four prong setting of 10k gold with a collective weight of 0.50 carats (This stone was calculated in setting with measurement calculator). The woman features a face of oval facet step cut pavilion purple amethyst with measurements of 18.45mm x 12.83mm x 9.95mm and features good clarity and purple translucent coloration with a overall weight of 12.13 carat (This stone was calculated in setting with measurement calculator). Carolyn J Chiappetta waas educated at Drake University in DesMoines, Iowa where she earned her Master's Degree in Silver smithing and Jewelry making in 1975. Since that time she has had her own business as a Master Goldsmith. She now resides in Bozeman, MT. Carolyn has made Custom Designed Jewlery for over twenty years. The measurements of this necklace overall from clasp to pendant tip are 9 3/4" and the pendant measures 5" x 3 1/8". The overall weight of this item is 145.1g
