Offered in this lot is a chamber pot made by J & G Meakin, of England sometime between 1912-1939. J. & G. Meakin company founded in 1851 and based in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. In the 19th century, J. & G. Meakin was known for the vast quantities of cheap ironstone china it produced for the domestic English market and for export to Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United States. The pot is white and the pot measures 8 1/2" across and 5 3/4" tall. The pot has scroll work and flowers along the bottom and a boarder of dots and Fluir de Lis around the top. The pot has a handle on one side. It is in very good condition with very minor wear. Please see pictures for an accurate assessment of condition.
