Featured in this lot are three English Silver books from various authors circa 1969, 1971 and 1972. All three books were printed by Da Capo Press in New York and are Da Capo Press Editions. The books in this collection are as follows - "A Directory of Sheffield, Including the Manufacturers of the Adjacent Villages" compiled by Gales & Martin (1969), "John Coney, Silversmith 1655-1722" by Hermann Frederick Clarke and introduction by Hollis French (1971) and "Jacob Hurd and His Sons Nathaniel & Benjamin, Silversmiths 1702-1781" by Hollis French, foreword by Kathryn C. Buhler (1972). The books give detailed descriptions of the silversmiths mentioned, silversmith names and their marks, black & white photos and more. The two larger books show navy blue cloth hard covers with gold and silver gilt lettering on the front and spines of the books, while the smaller book shows a light red hard cover with gold gilt lettering on the front and spine. The books show good condition overall with little wear present. The two larger books measure 10 1/4" L x 7 1/8" W x 11/16" D, while the smaller book measures 8 1/4" L x 5 1/8" W x 1/2" D. They have a collective weight of 3 pounds and 6 ounces.
