Included in this lot is an original oil on board on Board painting of Chief Enemy Killer (Toktay-Naunga), last Chief of the Mountain Assiniboine by renowned artist Errol Standing. This painting is from a photograph taken in 1906. Painting has artist's name and date on bottom right corner, "Standing" 12. William Standing, also known as Fire Bear was an American painter and illustrator. He was Assiniboine, his work depicted the lives of Native Americans in the Northwestern United States, and he became one of Montana's best known contemporary artists. Errol Standing's name is written on back of the board. This oil painting is in very good condition, no marring noted. Unframed painting measures 12"W x 16"L
