This is an excellent handwoven flat weave large rug by master weaver Ali Bautista using 100% soft fine handspun Angora Wool in an outstanding Espanola Eye Dazzler pattern. The rug was handwoven with a tight weave using 100% locally handspun Angora Wool blend yarn that offers natural variegation and durability with color fast aniline dyes. Tight handwoven weave displayed with bold colors in the fine Espanola Dazzler pattern in the time-honored Zapotec multi-generational craft by a master weaver, Ali Bautista. This bold and beautiful rug shows a fantastic Navajo Trading Post Eye Dazzler Pattern styling showing a heathered red background with central stair stepped dientes diamond medallion in white and light brown coloring holding a tan, brown and white cross at the center. Overall the rug shows seven cross symbols with a dientes zig zag strong pattern further accented by the framed Diamante border with tan / light brown, red and black coloring (diamond pattern border). The piece is in brand new condition with fine tight weave. The nice large rug measures 6’ 6” by 10’ (6 foot 6 inches by 10 foot). This is a contemporary rug hand woven by Ali Bautista, a Zapotec Indian from a small weaving village, in amazing natural dyes and wool showing an unbelievable large size.
