Featured in this lot is this Ex Birdcage Museum 1931 Wyatt Earp Frontier Marshal by Stuart N. Lake and was housed at the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. The book purports to be a biography of Wyatt Earp, recorded at the instigation of his third wife. Many writers and other men who knew Earp personally held him to be utterly unlike the character portrayed by Lake. This book omits all the shady incidents of his life and does everything possible to glorify him. The book comes complete with an original museum tag that reads as follows: Book was owned by John Parks, a good friend of the Earps, he purchased it Bird Cage Theatre Museum. The condition of this book is well preserved with some wear to the outside dust cover of the book and shows some browning to the pages consistent with age but otherwise shows a well preserved condition.
