Featured in this lot is a Quackenbush Model 1 Bb gun circa 1876 to 1938 and was housed at the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. The BB gun features a wonderfully and professionally crafted metal receiver and barrel and wooden furniture and is cocked by pushing in the barrel which acts directly on the piston, pushing it back until the sear engages. The BB gun is marked as follows: 1-36165 - H.M. Quackenbush. Herkimer N.Y. U.S.A. The barrel is then pulled forward to expose the loading slot and a dart / pellet dropped in. The barrel is then pulled fully forward to close the loading slot and seal the transfer port. This is in .21 calibre and smooth bore. The condition of this Quackenbush BB gun is well preserved with some slight wear to the wooden furniture and a slight patina adorning the finish and metal receiver and barrel, but it otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this BB gun is 36" x 6" x 1 1/4". The collective weight of this BB gun is 3lb 8oz.*
