For your consideration are a pair of exotic red feather and chevron trade bead necklaces. These have been re-strung with various pendants and decor for trading. The first necklace displays various beads including dark red feather with gold, black, and white lines; as well as other colorful beads. On this necklace there is a James E Pepper token with markings on the observe "JAMES E PEPPER / (Center - three marching Patriot musicians) / BORN WITH THE REPUBLIC / EST. 1780" and on the reverse "JAMES E PEPPER / THE CHOICE / OF GENERATION / AFTER GENERATION / (5 point star) / EST. 1780 (holed as made near rim)" as well as a token displaying Asian styled lettering. A similar token is attached further up the main necklace with a red cotton string. All three tokens show a warm patina, and the beads are in good condition all held together by a waxed twine. The second necklace is a red feather and chevron stlyed bead with round sterling bead in between. The pendant is a sterling silver cross with lettering and sterling beads. It is marked "sterling". The first necklace measures 17" strung and approximately 31" in circumference. The second necklace measures 14 1/2" strung and approximately 25 1/2" in circumference.
