Featured in this lot is this Exploration lithographs, annual report and guide circa 1878 - early 1900's. There are three groupings of ephemera in this collection. The first is a series of exploration lithographs including titles such as: Charles Wilkes - Commander U.S.N., Mosque in the Town of Sooloo, Son of the Sultan, Sooloo, Vincennes in Disappointment Bay, and Kanab Canon Near the Junction. The next grouping includes the fourteenth Annual Report and includes titles such as: Map of the Country Embraced in the Campaign Against the Sioux Indians, Wounded Knee Battlefield, Standing Rock Agency and Vicinity. The last grouping is a pamphlet for The Pacific Tourist and are pages from the Illustrated Trans-Continential Guide of Travel from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean. The condition of this collection of ephemera is good with the tourist guide pamphlet showing wear to the edges of the page but otherwise they show good overall condition. The measurements of this collection range from 11 1/2" x 8 3/4" to 9" x 6 7/8".
