For your consideration is this 1869 "Geological Report of the Exploration of the Yellowstone and Missouri Rivers" by Dr. F. V. Hayden and published by the Government Printing Office. This book gives major descriptions of the Yellowstone River, Missouri River, Black Hills, Bighorn Mountains, The Rocky Mountains and more through the eyes of Dr. F. V. Hayden. He describes the terrain, the native plants and trees and how many of the areas were shaped thousands of years ago by ancient oceans, lake beds and rivers. The report is very detailed. The book is paper bound and shows a light blue paper cover with the title, the author, and the publishers in black lettering. The book shows good condition for its vintage age with slight discoloring on the front cover and wear on the edges of the book. The interior pages show good condition with no signs of tears or foxing. The book measures 9" L x 5 3/4" W.
