For your consideration is this limited edition, fine pewter sculpture titled, "George A. Custer" by sculptor Francis J. Barnum made in 1993. This hand painted sculpture features General George Custer, a United States Army officer and cavalry commander in the American Civil War and the American Indian Wars. Custer graduated from West Point in 1861 at the bottom of his class, but as the Civil War was just starting, trained officers were in immediate demand. General Custer stands with his hat in his right hand, tucked closely to his side, while his left hand rests on the hilt of his sword. The gold coloring gives this sculpture a great contrast and an eye catching burst of color. On the back of the sculpture it features the copyright date and the sculptor's signature reading, "© 1993 F.J. Barnum" as well as being stamped with the number, "889/950" showing that it is a limited edition piece. The whole sculpture sits on top of a solid wood base. Overall this sculpture is in good condition with no signs of damage or wear. It measures 5" L x 4" W x 9 1/2" H. The collective weight of this sculpture is 3lb 14oz.
