Featured in this lot is this original photography called "Driving out for the day" from American photographer F. Jay Haynes. The photo shows a convoy of Yellowstone tour vehicles and attributed to a photograph from an album in the late 19th century. Frank Jay Haynes, known as F. Jay or the Professor to almost all who knew him, was a professional photographer, publisher, and entrepreneur from Minnesota who played a major role in documenting through photographs the settlement and early history of the great Northwest. The condition of this framed photograph is good with slight patina adorning the brass trim and the frame is in good overall condition with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this framed original photograph are 11 1/2" x 13 1/4" and the visible art measures 7 3/4" x 9 3/4".
