For your consideration we have a first edition Fifty Years on the Frontier by James H. Cook published by New Haven Yale University Press in 1923. The cover of this book is all black with the spine of the book having the title in gold font with Yale University's stamp in a gold font as well. The book tells of the life of James H. Cook as a hunter, guide, cowboy, scout, and ranchman in the western frontier with an introduction by Brigadier-General Charles King, U.S.V. This book has 291 pages with four parts in the book and displays over forty black and white illustrations throughout the book. The book shows good condition overall with minimal wear. There are two handwritten signatures from Carl Skillings on front and back cover. It measures 9 1/2" tall by 6 1/2" wide and 1 1/2" thick.
