For your consideration is the First Edition book, "Shotgunning in the Lowlands", by Ray P. Holland, foreword by John Taintor Foote, illustrated by Lynn Bogue Hunt with 9 color plates. "This is more than a nostalgic record of years of duck (and goose) shooting the country over. It is, in addition, a practical how-to-do-it book, in the tradition of the other excellent books projected by Penn Publishing executed by The Countryman Press. The hows and whys of one kind of shooting or another, kinds of blinds and how to construct (this from experience and observation), placing of decoys (this by anecdote), guns and dogs and duck calls, the knowhows that make the difference between a good shot and a poor, a good sportsman and a poor one. A natural for that sporting book market that is starved for good material as well as opportunity to ply their hobby".
This book is in good condition, green buckram, spine gilt-lettered, gilt-stamped duck on front cover with gilt lettering. Measurement is 11.5"L x 9"W x .75"D
