Included in this lot are A. Fitger's & Company Brewers Advertising Pillow and Sign. The decorative pillow from Fitger's Inn features the polychrome image of Fitger's "A. Fitger & CO Brewers Duluth, Minn. 1897" burlap sack label. The tin metal sign features a vintage rustic look of presumably the brick exterior of Fitger's manufacturing buildings with a wintry landscape superimposed, Minnesota Hwy 61 road sign, a frosty mug of Fitger's beer overflowing on the right and "Fitger's Beer" written on the left. Fitger's Brewing Company was a beer manufacturer in Duluth, Minnesota, United States, from 1881 to 1972. It was the first commercial brewery at the head of Lake Superior and the oldest continuously operating brewery in the state of Minnesota. Today Fitger's houses a brewpub, Fitger's Inn, a variety of retail stores and four restaurants. There is also a museum about the brewery. Both pieces are in good overall condition, no marring noted, sign has mounting holes in each corner. Sign measures 10"W x 14"L, pillow is 11.5"W x 23"L x 6.5"D, collective weight is 1lb, 14oz.
