For your consideration is this Flanders pyrography, horses on a wooden shield wall mount, circa 1890's - 1920's. This is a wonderful wall mount showing pyrography construction and three horses on the face of the wall mount. Pyrography, or pyrogravure, is the free handed art of decorating wood, or other materials, with burn marks, resulting from the controlled application of a heated object, such as a poker. It is also known as pokerwork or wood burning. The condition of this wooden shield wall mount is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this wooden wall mount are 15 1/2" x 20".
