Featured in this lot is a collection of beaded feather dance wands from the Flathead Native American Indians of Montana. The collection consists of eight feather dance wands with beaded hide handles. The handles feature trade seed beads in geometric patterns, showing robin egg blue, greasy yellow, chalk white, dark red, orange, black, and metallic with transparent green, brown, yellow, and red beads and red and white pipe beads. Each of the wands shows numerous feathers, including a set of white feathers, some of which have black tips, and a set of smaller dyed feathers in blue, red, or orange. The dance wands show good condition overall, with little to no wear. The largest wand measures 16" long and the shortest being 15" long.
