For your bidding pleasure is this "For Use As A Motor/Contains Lead" Sign circa 1985. In 1985 the EPA discussed a total ban on leaded gasoline and in 1990 the Clean Air Act banned the use of lead in gasoline. However, the effects of this amendment didn't come to be until 1995. This sign was most likely used to inform customers at gas stations about the lead. The sign is in good condition with some paint chipped around the fasteners holes. The lettering is black on a field of white for background with a black stripe border. The measurements of this sign are 6 1/8" x 7".
