The painting shows the image of a Native American woman with her child close to her chest. The painting is on black with colors of brown and blue. The painting is signed on the left side, reading "Nancy McLaughlin Powell". The piece is set into a wood frame with a white border. The piece shows good condition, overall. The frame measures 23" by 26".
