For your consideration is this 1940-50s "Double Trouble" print done by renowned American artist Frances Tipton Hunter (1896-1957). Frances Tipton Hunter was an illustrator who created covers for The Saturday Evening Post and many other magazines between the 1920s and 1950s. Her work is very similar in style to that of Norman Rockwell. The print shows a young boy and his dog sitting on some steps outside of a building. The boy is holding a dollar bill and has tears in his eyes, while his young dog looks up at him. The door behind the boy and his dog reads, "Dog License $2.00" eluding that this is the reason that the boy is sad. The bottom of the print reads, "Frances Tipton Hunter / Double Trouble" in black lettering. The piece is set in a wood frame. The frame and art work show good condition overall with the frame showing slight wear but no signs of obvious damage is noted. The visible art measures 19" L x 15 1/2" W, while the entire piece measures 21" L x 17 1/2" W x 1" D.
