The ring features a wonderfully and professionally crafted 14k yellow gold construction that shows expert tooling and carving into the face of the ring with a standing elk in a glade with trees around and mountains in the background. The ring is stamped as follows: 14k - Frank McCubins picto hallmark. Frank McCubbins was born on December 18, 1931, in Perryton, Texas, and passed away on April 13, 2016 and was a skilled goldsmith renowned for his wildlife-themed jewelry. For nearly five decades, he crafted custom jewelry featuring detailed relief carvings of animals, especially elk ivory pieces. His designs were known for their durability, comfort, and anatomical precision, created through meticulous handwork, casting in 14kt gold. McCubbins’ creations attracted attention from wildlife enthusiasts and hunters alike due to their intricate designs that blended art with nature?. The condition of this gold elk ring is good and in brand new condition with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition.
