Included in this lot is a Frank Wesson Model 1870 pocket rifle chambered in .22 caliber. This single shot .22 rim fire rifle features a large 12" hexagonal barrel with covered front sight and adjustable rear sight. To eject a spent cartridge, there is a release near the spur trigger, which releases and allows you to twist the barrel. The left side of the barrel is marked “Frank Wesson Worcester Mass. Patented May 31. 1870". The barrel, frame, and stock all have matching serial numbers. The original bluing has faded to a nice patina, while the factory nickel plating shows good condition. The original straight grain walnut grips are in good condition. Serial Number: 2037. This firearm qualifies as an Antique and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
