Featured in this lot are six Franklin Library leather bound and gilt, Play Writes and Poets book collection, presented by The Franklin Library circa 1976-1981. The books in this collection include plays and poems from notable writers. They show beautiful colors of leather binding and various designs of gold gilt on the spines and front covers. The edges of the paper are also gilted in gold color. The books in this collection are as follows - "Seven Plays" by Moliere translated by Donald M. Frame, "Six Histories" by William Shakespear, "Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam" by Omar Khayyam translated by Edward Fitzgerald, "The Oresteia" by Aeschylus translated by Richmond Lattimore, "Three Plays" by Bernard Shaw and "Nine Plays" by Euripides. The books show good condition overall with little to no wear present and no signs of damage. They measure from 8 1/4" L x 5 7/8" W x 7/8" D to 8 7/8" L x 6 3/8" W x 2 1/16" D and have a collective weight of 12 pounds and 6 ounces.
