Featured in this lot is an original vintage Fred Benioff Furs ladies cape style fur coat. Benioff Furs were high-end furriers originally from Allentown Pennsylvania founded by his father, Issac Benioff. After returning to the US following WWI, Fred started his own business in San Francisco California under the name Fred Benioff Furs. During the 1950s & '60s, Fred Benioff was known as the "Furrier to the Stars" This coat appears to be lamb; either Broadtail or Persian in a white/gray curly pattern, the interior lining is a mauve colouring. The fur has yellowed some yet overall the coat is beautiful and reflects a regal quality. Two waist pockets, the name "Eulah F." is embroidered on the inside lining, a collar sash is attached to both sides of the collar. The coat is approximately size medium and measures 36" long from the collar to the bottom.
