Featured in this lot is a bronze sculpture called "Bronco Buster" by American artist, Frederic Remington, who was born in 1861 and died in 1909. The sculpture is considered an "After Remington" and features a cowboy riding a rank bronco wearing cow puncher batwing chaps. The Bronco Buster (also spelled "Broncho Buster" per convention at the time of sculpting) is a sculpture made of bronze and originally copyrighted in 1895 by American artist, Frederic Remington. Frederic Sackrider Remington was an American painter, illustrator, sculptor, and writer who specialized in the genre of Western American Art. His works are known for depicting the Western United States in the last quarter of the 19th century and featuring such images as cowboys, American Indians, and the US Cavalry. The condition of this bronze sculpture is well preserved with the crop missing from the riders hand but otherwise shows well-preserved overall condition. The measurements of this bronze are 22 1/2" x 17" x 9 1/2".*
