Featured in this lot is this bronze called "Mountain Man," from prolific artist Frederic Remington (born 1861 and died 1909); this is considered an after-Remington bronze. Frederic Remington is considered one of the most prolific and important Western artists of the 19th century. His works are immensely valuable, and his style is highly sought after. The bronze features a mountain man descending a decline in the mountain, with the horse picking carefully where it is walking. The artist's signature can be seen on the descending base with a copyright etching. The plaque on the marble base reads as follows, “Mountain Man - Frederic Remington”. The condition of this bronze is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this bronze are 26 1/2" x 11" x 13".
