This is an exceptionally large forty-three inch long bronze sculpture of Frederic Remington titled "Stampede" with fantastic detail and condition. Frederic Remington is considered one of the most prolific and important Western artists of the 19th century. His works are immensely valuable, and his style is highly sought after. This bronze features a scene from the countryside in the heat of a stampede is a cowboy riding in the thick of the stampede. Frederic Remington shows his signature on the base of the bronze sculpture. This is a phenominal large casting with heavy weight, thick bronze with fine detail. The condition of this of this bronze is good with no obvious signs of damage and in good overall condition. The measurements of this bronze are 20 1/2" x 43" x 17 1/2". This is the largest example of the Stampede we have offered and was made with later more contemporary examples retailing for $5,500.
