Featured in this lot is a bronze sculpture titled "The Wounded Bunkie" originally by Frederic Remington and considered an after Remington. Frederic Remington is considered one of the most prolific and important Western artists of the 19th century. His works are immensely valuable, and his style is highly sought after. The bronze shows two U.S. cavalrymen riding at a full run with the man on the left being shot and his buddy holding him up in the saddle wounded. The bronze shows Frederic Remington's signature on the base of the bronze and is inscribed: Dedicated to Theodore Roosevelt - 1905. The condition of this bronze sculpture is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this bronze sculpture are 20" x 30" x 12".*
