Frederic Remington was an American painter, illustrator, sculptor, and writer who specialized in depictions of the American Old West. His works are known for depicting the Western United States in the last quarter of the 19th century and featuring such images as cowboys, American Indians, and the US Cavalry. The print depicts a group of Native American men sending smoke signals from a small fire on top of a canyon overlooking the valley. The print is set in a large dark wood frame with double matting. The print and frame are in good condition with no signs of obvious damage.
