Included in this lot is a French Charleville 69 gauge model 1822 percussion cap conversion pistol. The pistol features an 8" round barrel, walnut grip, brass accents, and percussion hammer system. The pistol was originally designed as a flintlock, but has had the flash pan filed and sealed with a percussion cap conversion on the back of the barrel. The piece is marked on the side of the lock plate, reading "Manuf Roy de Charleville", with the barrel dated "1818" and "Mle 1822 CDE176A 1343" across the barrel. The left side of the grip is marked "1343 Stetlenne". The pistol shows good cosmetic condition with a tight action and light patina due to age. Serial Number: 1343.
