For your consideration is a French Military Eibar - Ruby Pistol. This Spanish pistol was made by Arizmendi, Zulaica y Cia, Eibar – “Cebra”, and is over stamped “Beistegui Hermanos” with the correct makers mark AZ. Pistols made for the French Army typically had a one- or two-letter mark in an oval on the rear left of the frame. These letters identified the manufacturer, irrespective of trademark name. In addition, pistols were supposed to be marked with a star or pair of stars on the bottom of the frame alongside the magazine well when they were formally accepted for French service. This Eibar - Ruby pistol shows some holster wear but is otherwise in good shape. The pistol features walnut checkered grips and fixed sights. The action works as intended. Serial Number: 58935.
